I'm a married professional living in the Chicago burbs. Work uses up too many evening and weekend hours as it does for many. I also own a Real Estate investment business. Too many nights I find myself at the keyboard instead of sleeping, especially at hotels. I exercise most days in the gym downstairs, do a lot of last minute air travel for work, laugh a lot, and make others laugh a lot. I enjoy sail boating, home improvement and outside in general. I don't watch much TV and seem to be the only guy I know who isn't a sports fan (I enjoy playing sports...just not zoning out on a couch watching them). I've been the divorce route once and survived (we all get scarred in the process, but the baggage stayed when I left). I lost a child at eight due to illness, and my two other kids are grown and gone. My son works for us part time and we enjoy each others company. My work takes me all over the U.S. and Canada, and I do visit the bar scene when traveling. I would like to chat with someone with who is smart, has something to say, but can also listen. Well, as my profile says in the very first sentence, I am married. I'm honest and up front too. I'm not looking to cheat. I have what I need at home, except I too enjoy chatting with other bright women who are articulate and have something to say. Whether it be a problem or just looking for a guy's opinion, it's nice to "talk" to others. I've made over a dozen friends across the U.S. and Canada using the personals. I have 4 people who are just "friends" who email back and forth with me talking about any and everything. I guess you can feel safer talking to a stranger who you probably will never meet, rather than a guy you might have to deal with some day.
Anyway, it’s becoming a more and more popular way to make friends. So there it is. I'm not looking to get in a gal’s pants.....but just maybe her head. Make any sense? I hope so. If not, then it's my loss.
