I am a single man who just got divorced in 2010 and am just getting back into the dating scene. I hope it is like riding a bike as I can still do that. I like to stay in shape and exercise regularly. I love the outdoors. I enjoy jogging, swimming, golf, hunting/fishing , mountain biking. I have dogs and love horses- not to mention I loved having kids (2 not with me) and would actually like to have more children.
Optimistic is one of my traits- I usually see the glass as half full headed toward full. "Another day in paradise" is one of my favorite phrases. I have served my country as an officer in the US Army and am proud of my country and am patriotic. Since I am self employed I appreciate the work ethic involved with all entrepeneurs.
I love wine- both red and white but prefer red the most. Quiet dinners alone is great or the Alamo Draft House is fun also. You need to have me BBQ for you on my back deck for some really great food!! Love Steaks, seafood, pork, chicken- all is great on a BBQ !! You must taste my BBQ pineapple !!

I am kind and love animals and kids. Have even rescued wild birds (3) and rabbits- raised them and turned them back into the wild. But I am not stupid. I will give you the benefit of the doubt to a point.

What I am looking for in a woman is a classy lady who has a great sense of humor, be usually in a good mood, stays fit, is intelligent and is at least a little goal oriented. She must be willing to talk with me and communicate about everything- from what happened at work, to the family, what she wants, if something is making her unhappy and of course discuss sex with me (what pleases her).
She would be comfortable and look like a million dollars in heels and a fine dress when we go out to a play or social function yet the next day she would still look great without makeup and have a blast rolling in the grass with dogs or kids. She would get over disagreements easily and not hold a grudge. If I do something she does not like- I would like to know what it is- lets talk it out and reveal all the problems associated- apologize if needed- then lets kiss and make up (or make love and make up?)
I love the idea of a woman with her own career and feel this makes conversation more interesting and I have no problem being the supporting spouse as needed but expect the same in return. She should enjoy sports- especially outdoor sports, jogging, kayaking, golf (would be nice but not required), perhaps hunting, fishing, should enjoy watching football- especially college level. Oh- yes – she must love dogs !! This is an absolute must. I feel a family with dogs is blessed by much happiness. Cats- are ok- but I am allergic to them so have not gotten into them. I believe in God and expect her to do the same. I attend church semi-regularly and can increase that to suit reasonable needs.
Perhaps most importantly I want a lady who wants to walk beside me in life. Not in front or behind. I want us to be a team and share life together.
