Oh boy...the dreaded "about me" section...
Here is what I am not: Clingy, self-absorbed, fitness-only, selfish, boring, dispassionate, unromantic, uncoordinated, unsportsmanlike, discourteous, shallow, unrefined, unemployed...I guess I could go on here, but to what end? I think I'm a nice balance of cool and edge, class and hood, emotional and intellectual, old school comfort and new school energy. I'm somewhat of an escape artist (in the good way) and have been plotting my defection to warmer climes for years - just waiting for the right moment. I'm someone who is well-rounded, level headed, great with kids, handsome, progressive, fearless (but not crazy), a little unconventional, equal parts arcanum and open book. I love and appreciate ALL personality types, and like dealing cards from the opposite side of the table.
I like my line of work and have achieved some business success, but am not consumed by it. I'm an ex-college athlete, like to work out and maintain an active lifestyle but you won't catch me in the GNC guzzling bottles of "Ripped Fuel" or doing pushups just before I go out with friends. I can run ten flights without keeling over, I'm not hirsute, think that swimming really IS the best excercise and don't need a frickin' mirror to see my...well, you know. Surfer-boy meets businessman. Everyone I meet says "I can't believe you're 40". I'm not hung up on age. Not obsessed with looks. You won't catch me constantly checking myself out in the mirror and/or flipping my hair like Bobby from "Taxi". At first glance I may look slightly prepschool but I definitely lead an epicurean lifestyle and can funk it up with the best of them.
I don't have a laundry list of things I need to accomplish, since life will surprise me when I least expect it. I like good conversation, interesting ideas, cool music, great food and wine, anything associated with warm weather and island life. |

Daring enough to play blackjack against the odds, loves to hug dogs you don't know, fashionista, knows a foreign language, Degas, impressionism, shoes, doesn't mind if I cook or clean, likes taking care of old people and visiting nursing homes, the markets, tea, alligators, Lady and the Tramp moments, kissing like it's junior high all over again, digs all kinds of crazy music, witty with people, clever, being the little spoon, traveling, digs Tide with a touch of Downy, swimming in the ocean, snuggling, digs anything made in a Toaster-Oven, chatting online until 4 a.m., loves pizzas of all persuasions, doesn't detest food.
You don't really have to be any of these things...the fun is in finding out who YOU really are...
