Hi, I have always been a romantic type. I am in a relationship where romantic behavior is not desired from the other person. I don't understand not wanting to be romantic, giving or receiving. Yes, I like to receive too. :-)
Many things turn me on if the mood is right. Sometimes it's a smile, wink, or gesture. Small intimate things turn me on more than the obvious. I delicate touch or soft kiss. I think it is because it is slower, and the arousal happens at a slower pace, it's more enjoyable like enjoying a fine wine. You wouldn't want to gulp that down, why should we rush into sex without extended foreplay. There is a reason it exists. Of course, if you were parched from not having something to drink for a long time, you just might gulp that fine wine down. :-O
As I already mentioned, I am a romantic. I love walks at night, viewing the stars... trying to remember their names from astronomy 101 ~20 years ago. lol I love fine food and traveling. I love German food the most although it is not the most romantic. It can be romantic if properly prepared and the correct dish is chosen. Sauerkraut, cabbage, and similar garlic dishes not recommended for a romantic night. hehe. While fast cars (especially German models) turn me on, slow sex turns me on more. However, not always, I like to switch it up. And sometimes slow is not possible, nor soft or gentle. That is when passion supersedes romance. I think balance is key to a great sex life.
