ABOUT METexasRazorback on FB! I'm a mix of things. Established musician, self-imposed philosopher, loner and privateer; a natural home-body. My humor is risque while my sincerity, almost demanding. And I'm mostly quiet, reserved, and collective. As a discreet observer, I won't tell you about my day until it's just about over with. My hobbies deal mostly in music. I was born into it. My father played drums (trap set) with some relatives of mine in a classic C&W band. As an infant, I'd sleep right behind his bass/kick drum as he played his gigs. From that, I tinkered around on piano/keyboards as a child until I got into middle school, where I picked up Saxophone and took that into the 10th grade. Given my broad taste(s) in music, I'd researched various aspects about musical production, composition and instrumentation. Over the years, it's what had introduced me to the instruments I play now- the Conga, Djembe, Darbouka/Doumbek, Didgeridoo, Duduk, and middle-eastern Keyboard. I'm also trying to teach myself 6-string Guitar as a fundamental for other stringed instruments. Some years ago, my talents were put to use. I'd co-found the MundoTribe project with the prominent producer/writer/composer/actor, Ben Whittier, from which I'd also established the Drum Circling Houston movement. I'd also lended a recording of myself on Duduk to "Christmas", an album produced by the well-known dub actor, Vic Mignogna, released in 2008. Aside from my artistic experiences, I lead a your run-of-the-mill lifestyle. When not building upon my new accomplishments, I try going out from time to time. I'm a regular at the local coffeehouse, and an avid people-watcher at local bars/clubs on my nights off. Get me well-lit enough and you just might get me two-steppin'. Keyword...MIGHT! lol! |
