I love the outdoors (hiking, fishing, running/jogging, boating), animals, reading (scifi & fantasy) and cooking. My irreligious beliefs can best be considered atheist- I believe there is no gnostic god, and that organized religion is sanctioned egomania. I once drove all the way to Las Vegas to see Bill Maher. My political beliefs tend to be liberal; gay rights/ legalizing gay marriage, pro choice options for women, decent treatment/ harsher regulations for animal studies all mean a great deal to me. As for the financial aspect, I have been talked around on several economic points by some very conservative friends, but the social activism is more important to me.
Fun stuff- I love classic video games, and could marathon Super Mario World on a monthly basis. TV interests are fairly out of date, but I love star trek, babylon 5, all things Whedon, X-Files (up to season 7) and Bones. DJ's on the radio for a year, mostly indie and some folk/world. I foster feral kittens, and would foster dogs too if there was more room, and I love to ride horses. A great day would be a ferry ride to Seattle or Victoria and exploring on foot, or going up to Sol Duc and hiking for hours.
I am blunt and sarcastic, it doesn't always do me great favors socially but it saves time. Small talk is my personal hell, so this dating thing is rather a challenge. |

I bring up the religion and politics stated above because dating someone who is devoutly Catholic just won't work for me, and I feel there would be more conflict than I care for dating an avid hunter. I need to date someone who has their life together and knows what they want- and will actually tell me. I like to feel taken care of/ like someone has my back, and will return the favor x5. 50/50 effort is very important to me- at least for an average.
Sense of humor required, preferably dry. I like to laugh, and must find an intellectual rapport with someone I'm dating to be happy.
