I'm a divorced mother of 3 amazing children, what parent ever thinks otherwise?! I am a music teacher, so I do enjoy a wide variety of musically based activities. That being said, I've also spent just as much time at sporting events as all my children have been actively involved in a number of sports. Life is full of interesting places, people, activities and events. It can't all be about the job, although the fun stuff is more enjoyable if we've worked hard and been successful in our chosen careers. There has to be a balance... Moving on, If I were to list some of my favorite "things" that somewhat define me, I might include: family, laughter, hugs, dimples, practical jokes, singing, musicals, movies, comedy, restaurants, concerts, a close basketball or volleyball game that my kids are in, a job well done at work and a glass of wine or a beer after to celebrate, how good I feel AFTER I'm done exercising (notice I didn't say the actual exercise was the high point of my day!), an interesting conversation, a smile.
What might I be looking for? Now that's harder to define. In general I appreciate an open mind, a gentle and kind heart, a little silly, the ability to laugh at oneself, humility. A genuine best friend who also has the ability to make my heart beat faster...A balance of passion, romance and friendship. |

I guess we are all looking for that elusive connection that lands us a best friend plus a sizzling physical attraction. Is there such a thing as a soul mate? I'd like to think so. I hesitate to say what exact qualities would be right for me, but in general I appreciate an open mind and a kind heart.
