ABOUT ME

I'm low-key and logical yet passionate about life. I know when and how to buckle down and make things happen and when to go with the flow and enjoy the ride. I'm big on laughing (when something is funny) and can see humor in the absurdities of life. Actions are most meaningful, but I appreciate words, too. I'm smart but sometimes silly and ridiculous. I'm prone to volunteering to go first and am always up for trying new activities and having new experiences. What do I do for fun? I am on a dodge ball league with a great bunch of people... lots of fun and laughs. I've been doing hot yoga and like to run and enter running and obstacle course races. My latest endeavor is snowboarding. I do more falling than making it down a hill... but I don't mind the challenge. I'm also a fan of going to the park to drink my coffee and people watch (inconspicuously, of course). While I enjoy vacations that include relaxation and pampering, I also like rugged adventures. I look forward to hiking, camping and rock-climbing in the nice weather. An extended trip is already planned at the end of June! I am currently finishing a PhD program, but have learned the importance of a balanced life. I will not sacrifice relationships my with family, friends and a significant other. At the end of the day, the important people in my life are what I value most in my life.

What am I looking for? I'll leave it at: a mutual attraction with a man who values honesty, integrity, kindness, perseverance, humor and has an appreciation for life - even with the rose-colored glasses off. Someone who will support me in my personal endeavors and vice versa. I appreciate a passion for the career one chooses and for what drives another. I chose to go back to school later in life to become a nurse. It is a profession that I identify with and am proud to be a part. While a career can take priority at times, it is essential that I am in a partnership with someone who also values a balanced life. My philosophy is that what defines us is the support we give to those we love and the support those who love us give to us. I am not just looking for a man "who makes a lot of money". I am looking for a man who is financially responsible and stable with characteristics that mutually connect with both of us. I choose to date a man who makes me feel as special as I make him feel. I support myself and make conscious decisions in regard to the choices I make... in my career and personal life. I appreciate someone who understands the value of money, but who would not sell his soul for it. I think that I am a diamond in the rough... I am a kind soul with a spunky edge. I need to be with a man who appreciates and is willing to learn about both sides of what make me who I am!
