about me
I am called, "Sally" by most people instead of my given name which is very pretty but isn't always pronounced correctly, "Celia" sounds like, "Cell phone" then "lia". My goodness I am a simple, christian widow of 8 long years from a beautiful strong and very loving 32 year marriage that produced 2 very wonderful kind & humble young men, and am a happy grandmama to a 3 year old little red-head. I am retired from federal service due to a disability of Fibromyalgia, so I miss working with my friends and stay busy within my church community and with other agenda's. I teach crochet, english and bible study to small groups of people. And, I am bilingual in Spanish/English. Our family tree comes from Galicia, Spain with my great-great grandfather Leonardo and his desendants settled what is now the Corpus Christi, Texas area. I was born & raised in Kingsville, a small city close to Corpus Christi. My hobbies varies, but one of my favorite passtimes is traveling, and meeting new people and having new adventures. I don't smoke or drink alchohol, but I do enjoy music and my favorite to listen to and dance to is the Tejano style, (Tex-Mex) altogether very different from mexican music. One of my favorite things to do is cooking authentic mexican cooking and entertaining friends/family at home for a homecooked meal. I'm new to this site and am just going to see what happens. I don't want to sound prudish but, there is absolutely no way that I will put up with one night stands, or intimate games. One last thing, I am a breast cancer survivor after being diagnosed and given one month to live at that time, that was in June 1991. I've been cancer free since that long 5 year battle which included a double masectomy. There no surprises, ok? I'm a pretty positive force of nature, love good humor, joyful music, I sing in our church Sunset HIlls Baptist Choir, and am currently helping establish our first spanish speaking Southern Baptist church in Alaska.
